We are excited to share with everyone a great nomination we received recently for Lila Martin for the Little Leader. Here is Lila’s story.
Lila is currently a grade 6 student at Northrup Frye School. She spends her lunch hours volunteering with a kindergarten class at the school helping them getting ready for lunch and dressed for recess.  Lila also helps with the special needs students in her class on a daily basis. She always wants everyone included in activities and goes out of her way to make sure that no one feels left out.
Lila is an avid ringette player with this being her 6th season playing in the Moncton Ringette Association. She also has played hockey for 3 spring seasons as well as Springette last season. Although she is small in stature, Lila makes up for her lack of size with lots of heart and hard work. The Eveready Bunny that never quits no matter how much bigger her opponents are. This season, Lila was ecstatic to make the U12 Southeast Fusion and they will be attending a tournament in Pierrefonds QC in January.
Lila is a great teammate and does whatever she can to help her team. This season, her team is without a goaltender and she has strapped on the pads several games this year to help out! That’s what we call dedication!
We are happy to recognize Lila for the Little Leaders program and share her story. If you know someone that goes the extra mile for others in the community, family or teammates, please send us an email with their story. You can also win a free 2019 ECI spring hockey season or a 2019 summer Andrews Hockey Camp by submitting a video to us before March 1st!
