AAA Program Description
AAA Series Format
Our AAA Spring Program will provide the players an excellent opportunity to develop as a player and as a person. As a player, they will get the best chance to develop their skills through practices, games and our East Coast Ice Complete Hockey Success Training Program, which gives players a great guide to improving their skills away from the rink! As a person, each player will benefit from exposure to off-ice training, goal setting sessions and motivational concepts that are utilized at the Andrews Hockey Growth Programs Summer Camps.

Because Our Coaches are the Backbone of the Spring Hockey Program, We try to give them the best tools; instruction and support possible to ensure the players receive the most development possible throughout the short spring season.  Coaches are provided with an age specific practice manual with progressive plans that have been proven successful with many other teams. They are also given access to world-class resources to help in developing the players as best as possible.

Resources available to coaches:
  • Access to Our Hockey Coaches Guide (www.hockeycoachesguide.com) where Coaches have access to hundreds of proven drills, practice plans and other resources to aid in player development.
  • Access to Josh Andrews and other Coach Mentors to help them develop as a Coach.
  • Access to Andrews Hockey's Coaching Resources - Including age specific practice curriculums for on ice, off ice and leadership development.
  • Our Coaches also invited to Coaching Seminars that cover various Coaching topics.
ECI Personal Growth Program
This is a new addition to the program and will be a Comprehensive manual given to players by their coaches that includes:
  • Technical Hockey Skill Homework
  • Smart Shooting
  • Puck Control
  • Skating Development
  • Character & Leadership Development Homework
  • Articles and exercises on topics, such as Attitude, Adversity, Teamwork etc.
Team Selection
The team must be comprised of 9 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goaltenders.  Identification Sessions will be held in the fall during our “Fall Harvest Jamboree” (2nd and 3rd week of September) with one to two additional final Identification Sessions on Thanksgiving Monday and possibly one more if necessary in November or December. Coaches can use these sessions to select players immediately and as many players may not be able to make all the sessions, coaches may also scout in Minor Hockey and make selections from there.

The goal is to complete the roster by the New Year or as quickly as possible in order to get the team together on a consistent basis throughout the winter with hopes to provide a great supplement to their minor hockey development.
